About
Warm, grounded, human counselling and wellbeing in the heart of Kent.
Who I am
I’m Sharron Burley (Dip Cons, MBACP), an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist based in Horton Kirby, Kent.
My work is built on a simple belief: that we heal and move forward through relationship. When we are met with warmth, understanding, acceptance, curiosity and genuine presence, things begin to shift.
People often come to me when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or hard to face alone. Sometimes they just feel stuck. Together, we create space to understand your experiences and reconnect with the parts of yourself that feel unheard, hidden, uncertain or lost.

My approach
My approach is calm, steady and collaborative. I am not here to diagnose you or to fix you. We work together, at your pace.
I show up as myself. I don’t hide behind professional masks or polished scripts. I am warm, thoughtful and honest, so that you can feel safe to be naturally you.
I draw on person-centred, psychodynamic and existential ways of working, so I can meet you where you are. That might mean gently exploring:
- How earlier experiences shape your relationships today
- How emotions show up in the body
- How you understand yourself and your place in the world
The heart of the work is the relationship between us, a space where you can feel safe, respected and understood. There is no rush here. Let’s just breathe and be.

Connection with the natural world
Nature shapes the way I work: grounded, present, real and gentle. For those who feel more at ease outdoors, or who would rather not sit face to face in a room, I also offer walk and talk therapy and nature-based wellbeing sessions. I have trained in Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) and sound bathing.
