A wellbeing day with the bees
One of our most loved retreat days combines time with the bees in the morning with gentle, creative therapeutic work in the afternoon. It is suitable for complete beginners, and you do not need any experience.
Here is how a day tends to flow:
- We start gently. You arrive, have a cup of tea, look around and settle in
- Soft introductions. Just names and, if you wish, a little about what brings you here. There is no pressure to speak
- Grounding and getting our bearings, slowing things down before we go anywhere near the bees, with a calm talk through safety
- Time with the bees, around two hours. Some people watch and listen, others get a little closer. You are never pushed
- Lunch. We stop, we eat, we rest. Quiet, a wander, or a chat, all are fine
- Therapeutic and creative work in the afternoon, gentle and non-verbal, allowing things to emerge rather than analysing or fixing
- A reflection on the day, and a gentle close
The bees are wonderful teachers of calm, attention and boundaries, and we let the day unfold rather than forcing meaning onto it. Sharing is always optional, and always about what feels important to you.
